Hi there, thanks for looking at my ad! I am a CELTA-qualified English Teacher and Scottish-registered Secondary Mandarin Teacher. As an enthusiastic linguist, polyglot and lover of languages with a passion for language education, I speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin and have been learning French and Greek! I would love to help you thrive with learning English/Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), whether as an interest, or working towards exams! • I provide highly interactive and communicative language lessons, focusing on all 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). I choose topics that are of interest to my student(s), and build on prior learning. • I have a BA degree in Linguistics and English Studies from the University of Hong Kong, plus a CELTA qualification for teaching English. I have also gained a PGDE (Secondary Mandarin) from the University of Aberdeen. I have been a private tutor for almost 10 years, and a classroom teacher of English/Mandarin for 6 years. • My tailor-made lessons are for all levels and ages! Recently I mainly teach secondary school pupils, but I have also taught other age ranges, including young kids and adults. • Typical length of a lesson: 1 hour to 1.5 hours, either in person (Larnaca) or online. • I offer the first 30 mins of our first lesson for FREE for us to get to know each other and decide whether/how to move forward :)
