Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. This notice explains how erga.cy handles personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus data-protection law.

1. Who is responsible (Controller)

erga.cy is operated by Evgenii Suntsov in Cyprus, acting as the data controller. Contact: operator [at] erga.cy

2. What data we process

• Account data (if you sign up): name, email and/or phone number, and authentication data.
• Provider listing data: business/professional name, the services offered, service area, languages, and contact details (e.g. phone) — for many listings this is aggregated from publicly available sources (public posts and classified listings) so the directory is useful from launch.
• Usage data: how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser), measured with Google Analytics 4 to help us improve the service. IP addresses are anonymised by Google and we do not enable advertising features.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

• To run the directory and connect clients with providers — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a useful local-services index of publicly offered professional services.
• To provide your account and respond to your requests — performance of a service / consent (Art. 6(1)(b)/(a)).
• Provider listings come from publicly posted professional offerings; we minimise data to what is needed to present the offering and enable contact.

4. Providers: how to opt out or correct your listing

If a listing is about you and you want it claimed, corrected, or removed, we will action it promptly. You can also claim your profile to manage it yourself. Email: operator [at] erga.cy

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is processed by infrastructure providers (hosting, email, file storage) acting as our processors. We also use Google Analytics (provided by Google) to measure site usage; Google acts as a processor and may transfer data outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses). Provider contact details are shown to signed-in users who request them.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (Cyprus). To exercise any right, email: operator [at] erga.cy

7. Retention & cookies

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above. We use essential cookies for sign-in and your language/city preferences. Google Analytics sets first-party analytics cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) to measure usage; we do not use advertising cookies. You can opt out using your browser settings or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
